Ra’zes do Brasil (Roots of Brazil) Capoeira Ithaca led by Mestre Foca and Instrutora Rouxinol is an exemplary ambassador of Brazilian culture and spirit. Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that fuses self-defense, acrobatics, music and singing which spreads excitement and joy to those who witness it. Maculel is a folkloric stick dance from Brazil that is practiced in conjunction with Capoeira. The traditional costumes(raffia skirts), body paint and sticks used in Maculel are reminiscent of the Hawaiian Hula (with a spicy twist!).

This mostly-acoustic four-piece band from Ithaca, NY has been entertaining audiences since 2006. Their sound ranges from more traditional folk and bluegrass, to singer-songwriter and pop. Songwriting is shared by guitarist Peter Glanville and mandolin, accordion, and sax player Gordon Rowland, who often collaborate on the band's original material. Acoustic upright bassist Mike Costello, and drummer Shane Hartman create the foundation, while adding intricate grooves to the band's original material. Covers from Townes Van Zandt, Hank Williams, Tom Waits and Bob Dylan often make their way into longer set lists.

While being an expert in juggling all sorts of objects and subjects as well as countless circus and variety skills (such as Unicycling, ropewalking, unsupported ladder, fire manipulations and eating, balancing stunts and the list goes on and on), he really gets his audience involved and creates magical and hiliraious moments through their participation. Watch out for catapults, marshmalows, lots of velcro and the bowling-ball of terror. Hilby has training in modern dance and mime and his body is as expressive as the spoken words he speaks. (Appalachian Fiddle Tunes) - Southern old-time music was born when African rhythms and syncopation began to influence the fiddle dance tune tradition. Old-time jams often include guitar, clawhammer banjo, fiddle, mandolin, dulcimer, voices, and tapping feet to keep the rhythm. Running to Places is the area's premier theatre company for young artists. The Atomic Forces are a long standing rock band from Ithaca, NY. Their ÔFolk Atomique' music incorporates folk, electronic, and experimental sounds. They have won Rock Record of the Year twice from the Ithaca Journal. Their record "Prop Sensation" from 2008, which incorporated statistics on economic disparity, has resonated with the Occupy Wall Street movement. Their newest recording, "Woodstock for Robots" is being released in May in conjunction with Ithaca'a Angry Mom Records.

The Zydeco Trail Riders, formed in 2004, have performed predominantly in upstate New York at regional festivals and at nightclubs, wineries and eateries.
